Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information ShaadiTaiyari collects, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses our website and services (the "Platform").

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you give us

Account details: your email address and password, or your Google account if you sign in with Google, and your phone number if you verify it.
Profile details: name, date, time and place of birth, gender, height, weight, appearance, religion and community, languages, location, education, career and income, family details, lifestyle, a short bio and your photos.
Partner preferences: the age, height, community, education, location and other preferences you set.
Activity: interests you send and receive, shortlists, profile views, reports, and messages, photos or locations you choose to share in chat.

1.2 Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request. We use it to keep the Platform secure and working.

2. How we use your information

to create your account and show your profile to other members;
to power search, recommendations, interests, chat, notifications and voice or video calls;
to prepare Kundali compatibility reports from your birth details;
to verify your email address and phone number;
to review reports, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service;
to send you important messages about your account.

3. Who can see your information

3.1 Other members

Your profile is shown according to your Profile visibility setting in Settings:

Everyone — your profile appears in search and can be opened by anyone with the link;
Members only — only signed-in members can open your profile;
Hidden — your profile is removed from search and only you (and our moderation team, when needed) can view it.

Full profile details and photos are shown to verified members. Your email address and phone number are never shown on your profile, and you can choose to hide your income. Messages are visible only to the people in the conversation.

3.2 Service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted providers to run the Platform — for example Supabase for authentication, our database, file storage and real-time messaging, and an SMS provider to send verification codes. They process data only on our behalf.

3.3 Legal reasons

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our members and the public.

Voice and video calls are streamed between the two people on the call, and we don't record them. Your location is shared only when you choose to share it in a chat.

5. Storage and security

Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase. We protect it with encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure sign-in sessions and database access rules that limit each member to the data they're allowed to see. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

6. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and a preference cookie to remember the search location you choose. Your browser also stores small display preferences, such as whether the sidebar is collapsed. We don't use advertising cookies or track you across other websites.

7. Your choices and rights

Update: edit your profile at any time from Edit profile.
Control visibility: change who can see your profile, and hide your income, in Settings.
Delete: to delete your account and personal data, email privacy@shaaditaiyari.com. We complete deletion requests within 30 days, except where we must keep information to meet legal obligations.

8. Children

ShaadiTaiyari is only for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger, and we will delete it if we learn that we have.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed, and we'll let you know on the Platform about significant changes.
